How it works
JPEGFloor lets anyone launch a coin paired with an NFT collection. Here is the whole flow.
01
Pick a collection
Choose an NFT collection from the list. Every coin on JPEGFloor is paired with one collection instead of with ETH.
02
Open its market
The first person deposits at least one NFT. It goes into the collection's vault, which issues one vault token per NFT and seeds a vault token / ETH pool at the opening price.
03
Launch a coin
Anyone can then launch a coin paired with that vault token: pick a name, ticker and image. One collection can carry many coins.
04
Trade
Buy and sell coins with ETH, or trade NFTs straight in and out: deposit an NFT to buy a coin, or sell a coin to redeem an NFT from the vault.
Questions
- What does “paired with an NFT floor” mean?
- A coin's pool holds the collection's vault token on the other side, not ETH. Each vault token is backed one-to-one by an NFT in the vault, so demand for the coin is also demand for the collection.
- Can I get my NFT back after depositing?
- Not by withdrawing it. Deposited NFTs become permanent liquidity. Anyone, including you, can redeem an NFT from the vault by paying its market price in vault tokens plus a 2% redeem fee.
- What does the market opener earn?
- 80% of the vault token pair's trading fees and half of the redeem fees, for as long as the market trades.
- What does a coin creator earn?
- A share of the trading fees of their own coin, claimable from the Creator page.
- Why can't I find a collection I own?
- Collections are added by the team, and some collections restrict which contracts may move their NFTs. Collections whose rules would block a deposit are hidden so nobody gets stuck halfway.
- Which network is this on?
- Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663). You need a little ETH on Robinhood Chain for gas.
